DIN rails are used to mount circuit breakers and industrial control devices in equipment racks. The original concept was developed in Germany by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) in 1928. The specifications evolved into their present form in the 1950s and adopted into the current European (EN) and international (IEC) standards.

The TS32 is a solid G-Rail DIN rail made of chromed steel. G-type rails are usually used to hold heavier, higher-power devices. It is 32mm wide and 15mm deep in accordance with EN 50035, BS 5825, and DIN 46277-1 standards.
